"Arkaroola Full Moon" has been selected as a finalist for this year's Heysen Prize for Landscape. This painting is part of a body of work developed after a special trip to Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary in South Australia.
The Heysen Prize for Landscape is a $15,000 contemporary art prize established to commemorate the life and work of the internationally renowned artist and environmentalist, Sir Hans Heysen. It is a biennial event celebrating emerging, mid-career and established artists and their connection to landscape and place. This year's judges were Maria Zagala, Curator at the Art Gallery of South Australia, and Andrew Purvis, Curator of Adelaide Central Gallery.
The finalists exhibition will be on between 23 November 2024-January 26 2025 at the Hahndorf Academy and all works are for sale.
