ABOUT THE ARTIST

Eva Beltran is a Sydney-based artist working in painting and sculpture. Her work explores themes of connection to place, memory, presence, and humanity. Through layered compositions and colour, her art invites viewers to experience emotional depth and a sense of wonderment beyond the visible.

 

Eva's paintings have been regularly selected in art prizes, including the Glover Art Prize (Evandale, TAS); the Paddington Art Prize (Sydney, NSW); the Mosman Art Prize (Sydney, NSW) or the Kilgour Art Prize (Newcastle, NSW). Most recently she has been a finalists in the Pro Hart Outback Prize (Broken Hill, NSW), the Heysen Prize for Landscape (Handorf, SA), and the 9x5 Woollahra Landscape Prize (Sydney, NSW).

Eva is a self taught artist. She has a degree in Journalism; a specialisation in Scientific Journalism; a Masters in International Communications and worked in healthcare PR and corporate communications for over 15 years.  Art took centre stage in Eva's life in 2016.
